Solve the Problem (Continued)
Nice big, thick juicy steaks, baked potatoes drowned in butter and sour cream, three layer cakes with half-inch thick frosting between the layers... Yep, I haven't forgotten 'em. Jackie Gleason said it best: “How Great It Is!”
Perhaps the only difference
between you and me is that I took
the
fat off the plate by leaving it where it belonged. In the supermarket.
Forget the commercial diet plans that charge big bucks. Or, promise
big results. If you eat their way, with their expensive and overpriced
ingredients or products that require an exercise program that would
challenge
an Olympic long-distance runner, you've got a problem.
You might take pounds off, but in
a month or so they'll come
back.
With a vengeance, or even a cold, sadistic revenge!
Yep, you know what I'm talking about. Both of us have been there.
The “healthy” liquid shakes, the special entrees loaded with hidden
extra
fat to give the slop some decent taste... We're lighter by money, but
not
pounds.
Controlling weight is a lifelong process. Yo-yo diets, where you
lose five pounds and gain back ten, don't work. Nor does any other
diet.
You don't quit eating for two weeks, lose a bunch of pounds, and
then expect them to stay off when you go back to stuffing yourself with
fat. Like chocolate cakes. Fat, greasy steaks. Circus peanuts.
Chocolate
chip cookies.
... Well, you get the drift.
