July 2007
I got a little prostate cancer to start dealing with. Reckon that is like a lady saying she is a little bit pregnant. I created a page that will chronicle my saga as I successfully work through the experience. Here. *******************************
Arrived back at the Slabs early November 2006. Was there until late May when the Social Security gravy train pulled into the station. I spent most of the 2006 summer in Chloride, AZ. Went back there in 2007 for a week or so then moved 16 miles away to Golden Valley, AZ where I hope to spend the summer. Wonderful folks in Chloride, a great bar, watering hole. Posted a full description of the town here. Great friendly folks who welcome RVers. Big free dirt parking lot in town. Working up a bunch of stuff to post. See some recent photos here. My Photo Page: On
my Photo Page I put a lot of
photos from various places I visit. One example is Chloride. Pics of a
gunfight, Cooking, the pedal steel guitar I play, Seligman, AZ,
Slab City, etc.

to My New Website
The
Social Security Gravy Train arrived in the
Wachapreague, Virginia Station in 2000. In October 2001, I hit the road
in my freebie RV rig:
an old pickup and vintage travel trailer. Headed for the Slabs in the
California desert just east of Niland, CA., on the eastern side of the
Salton Sea. It took three attempts to get there. Read some of the story
here. From
November
2001 to late May 2002 we spent the winter on the old abandoned military
base
called the Slabs. No rent, no
electric, no water, no hassles. Hundreds of other RVers there. I'm an
old musician and played music at the free Slabs performing stage, the Range,
during the time I was there. During
the trip I got a lot of impressions
about this or that park, site, cheap places for gas, free overnight
parking, blah, blah, blah, and will be only upbeat in my praises and
follow the usual handout line from the tourist bureaus.
LMAO! :) Don't you believe
that crap for a second! If you do... (Continue)
If a place stinks, service sucks, it's a rip off, you is gonna hear it here. Hey, maybe some owner will object to my review, sue me, and I'll get my 15 minutes of fame. (Or is that 15 seconds?) Whatever, what I found the last trip will be here. I look forward to hearing from visitors to the site. Ain't no sweat, good or bad. You see something here you don't agree with, fire away. Unless you be one of them hustlers what is selling magic pills, magic vitamins, secret concoctions you claim resulted in huge weight losses in some foreign country... or them pills said to just melt away the fat and keep it off ... Don't bother writing... I'll just delete your message! On further thought, I will post your message at this site so visitors can get a real laugh at your ignorance and stupidity thinking you can sucker folks into buying into your con job! It's gonna take me a while to get all the stuff arranged and posted but I shall endeavor to persevere. Take my word for it. There is one hell of a lot of helpful info that I will post, and give you names of some folks you can rely on. Print any page and share it with friends, enemies, and countrymen, as long as it is non-commercial. My web page is a freebie, so you will see some ads at the top of the page. They are not my ads, but the free page is right good. So far, I have had real good service from Brave net. Free is good! Links
on the left and right will take you to
more info
on subjects of interest to me, and perhaps to you. I hope you will
check back often for new stuff added. I'll have a guest
book section soon. Thanks
for visiting. © 2005 by Roger L. Woods Email: rwoods4108 at yahoo dot com(Addy needs a bit of adjustment) Note:
Returning to a Prior Page. You will find some of the pages have a Back
link. Instead of looking for them, I find it is much faster to simply
hit the Back arrow, or button, at the top of the page.
